Social Networking & Community Building with Mack Collier

A lot of companies are closing off access to social media tools like Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook and more and yet they want to be engaged in social media–and especially blogging. Without an overall strategy for engaging in the entire social community where your customers and prospects might be, corporate blogging efforts might not give you the results you are looking for. This session will give the attendees the valuable insights on how to engage social media communities in a meaningful way that will help drive quality conversations and traffic.

Key Take Aways

  • How an online community can help you grow your business
  • How to use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social networks to build a community
  • Why some online groups form communities, while others don’t. Find the core qualities that create communities
  • Why building a community and increasing the communities’ interactions on your blog can be done by engaging blog readers with content that resonates
  • How to increase the communities’ interactions by putting the focus on the communities’ best commenters (and their comments)

On-Line Media Workshop

It’s the end of the day and you’ve just learned how to use online media to your marketing advantage. Now comes the test…can you actually implement it? The online marketing workshop will put your existing and newly acquired skills to the test! For this workshop you will be broken up into groups where you will all work together to come up with a marketing plan to promote a newly formed company. The plan must include all elements learned during the Online Media Boot Camp. Each plan will be presented to the judges and the group with the most creative plan will win a prize.
